Professor Possu Huang and his research group are working with researchers at SLAC on carbon dioxide sequestration and designing new enzymes that work with light and can reverse the process of carbon dioxide generation.

He is also exploring the design of nano-machines and engines that work with light energy so we can build solar-enabled motors. One of Professor Huang’s goals—similar to that of Professor Cochran’s lab—is to help make recycling more profitable.

Emergence Research Areas: CO2 sequestration, Energy Production from Plastic, and NanoMachines to create energy from light
